Add each cylinder to your basket from its product page, then add one keyed alike charge for each cylinder after the first.

How it works

Keyed alike questions

Can I mix key / key and thumbturn cylinders?

Yes. Any AP v3 cylinder can be keyed alike with any other, in any size and any finish. A brass key / key on the front door and a black thumbturn on the back door can share one key.

How many keyed alike charges do I need?

One for each cylinder after the first. The first cylinder sets the key and the others are keyed to match it, so 2 cylinders need 1 charge and 5 cylinders need 4. The builder works this out for you.

How many keys do I get?

A keyed alike set comes with 3 keys in total, however many cylinders are in it. Add extra keys in the set panel so everyone has their own.

Can I have more than one key group?

Yes. Build your first set and add it to your basket, then build the next one. Each set gets its own reference, such as KA-7F3Q, so we know which cylinders go together.

How do I measure my cylinder?

Measure from the centre of the fixing screw to each end of the cylinder. A 35/35 is 70 mm overall. On a thumbturn cylinder, measure to the end of the body, not the turn. Not sure? Send us a photo on WhatsApp and we will confirm the size.

How long does keyed alike take?

Keyed alike cylinders are made to order by APECS. It usually takes 2 to 4 working days, and up to 7 working days for large orders or busy periods.

Do you do master key suites?
