The Lockmaster Passive multipoint door lock is specifically designed for the secondary leaf in a set of uPVC or aluminium French doors. This passive lock features no locking points along the strip, making it ideal for use alongside a primary active lock on the main door.

Passive locks are installed on the secondary (passive) door of a French door pair. When paired with a standard multipoint lock on the main door leaf, they allow the use of top and bottom shootbolts to secure the passive door into the frame when locked.

How It Operates: Lift Lever Mechanism

To lock the door:

• Lift the door handle upwards to activate the shootbolt locking points.
• Turn the key to secure the locking mechanism (and the main deadbolt if present).

To unlock the door:

• Turn the key to release the locking mechanism.
• Push the handle down to retract the shootbolts and disengage the latch.
