Product Overview

Enhance the security and reliability of your door with this ERA multipoint door lock featuring 2 bi-directional hooks, a central deadbolt, and a latch. Commonly used on uPVC, aluminium, timber, and composite doors, this lock is ideal for both replacement and new installations.

  • Split Spindle Operation – Lift the handle to engage locking points; turn the key to secure the system.
  • High Security – Includes 2 strong hooks, 1 chamfered deadbolt (also known as a linear bolt), and 1 latch.
  • Universal Compatibility – Suitable for uPVC, timber, aluminium, and composite doors.
  • Rebranded Models – Often branded as Saracen, Surelock, Spartan, Supa, Duraflex, Westward, or Cego.
  • Visual Identifier – Grey snib on deadbolt/hook bolt models; Vectis locks have a blue snib (sometimes black or green).

Compatibility & Gearbox Details

  • Distinctive Design – ERA gearboxes are square-shaped (no corner cut-outs), measuring 221mm in height. Width = backset + 18mm.
  • Backset Options – Available in 30mm, 35mm, or 45mm.
  • Interchangeable Gearboxes – Compatible with most ERA mechanisms, including deadbolt, hook, and Vectis types (excluding SureFire and British Standard Fortress).

Hook Variants

  • Standard Hook – Slim profile, ideal for tight routing in retrofits.
  • Security Steel Hook – Larger housing for enhanced strength (door routing modifications may be required).
  • Bi-directional Operation – Top hook throws upwards; bottom hook throws downwards.

Deadbolt Features

  • 18mm chamfered throw designed to pull the door tightly against the frame.
  • Commonly used on timber and composite doors.

Operation Instructions

To Lock the Door:

  • Lift the handle to engage hooks and latch.
  • Turn the key to lock the deadbolt and secure the door.

To Unlock the Door:

  • Turn the key to retract the deadbolt.
  • Push the handle down to disengage hooks and latch.

  • Cycle Tested: 50,000 operations
