A replacement centre gearbox for compatible old-style GU Europa multipoint door locks, with a 45mm backset, 92mm PZ centres and single 8mm spindle follower. This is an aftermarket compatible replacement, not a genuine GU-manufactured gearbox.

Check the fit before ordering

Compare the case shape, faceplate extension, latch, deadbolt and fixing positions with your existing lock. This version includes the extension/spacer needed for the 45mm backset. It is not interchangeable with a new-style GU gearbox and does not provide split-spindle or automatic locking operation.

• Backset: 45mm, measured from the front of the fitted faceplate to the spindle centre. Allow for the faceplate thickness when measuring a removed case.
• PZ centres: 92mm from the handle spindle centre to the centre of the cylinder's circular section.
• Case size: 208mm high excluding fixing lugs; 64mm wide.
• Spindle: single 8mm square follower.
• Faceplate screw centres: 108mm top to middle; 92mm middle to bottom.
• Latch / deadbolt: 32mm / 35mm high, with a 54mm gap between them.
• Handing: reversible latch for left- or right-handed doors.

Operation

Lift the handle to engage the locking points, then turn the key to lock. Unlock with the key and lower the handle to release the locking points and latch. A compatible Euro-profile cylinder and handle arrangement are required.

What is included?

One replacement gearbox with the pictured faceplate extension. The full locking strip, handles, cylinder and spindle are not included. Match all measurements before ordering; a matching backset alone does not prove compatibility.
