The Maco G-TS multipoint door lock is equipped with 4 rollers, 1 deadbolt, and 1 latch, offering secure and reliable locking for uPVC and aluminium doors.
While most Maco G-TS locks have now been discontinued, limited stock remains in 28mm and 35mm backset options. These can often be used as direct replacements for earlier models with minimal adjustment.
It’s important to note that G-TS lock gearboxes have been produced in various versions over the years, and they are not interchangeable. The latest G-TS model, introduced in 2010, features updated screw fixing positions. A key identifying feature of this newer version is a square latch reversal button located next to the latch.
The Maco G-TS gearbox uses lift lever operation and measures 228mm in height by backset + 18mm in width. It has 92mm centres (PZ). The latch measures 29mm high, the deadbolt is 30mm high, and the distance between them is 54mm.
Gearboxes are mounted to the faceplate using three screws. The spacing is as follows: 57mm from the top screw to the middle, and 180mm from the middle to the bottom screw.
Maco refers to its rollers as i.S. cams, constructed from hardened steel to improve resistance against forced entry. These function similarly to standard rollers, primarily offering compression to pull the door snugly against the frame, helping to improve weather sealing and prevent door warping—as long as the rollers are properly engaged into their keeps.
Each roller is adjustable by 1mm, allowing for fine-tuning of compression and optimal sealing.
Operation: Lift Lever
To lock the door:
- Lift the handle upwards to engage all locking points.
- Turn the key to lock the points and engage the deadbolt.
To unlock the door:
- Use the key to unlock the system.
- Push the handle down to release the locking points and retract the latch.
