ERA Interlocking Multipoint Door Lock – Passive Lock Lift Lever Mechanism for Composite Doors
Product Information
The ERA Passive Lift Lever Multipoint Door Lock is specifically designed for the secondary leaf (passive door) of a pair of French doors. Unlike active locks, this passive lock features no locking points of its own but is engineered to receive the deadbolt from an ERA 7145 primary lock, completing a secure and reliable dual-door locking system.
Ideal for timber and composite doors, this lock provides a dependable solution for French doors where the secondary leaf needs to be secured in conjunction with a primary multipoint lock.
How It Works:
- Passive locks are installed on the non-primary (passive) door in French door setups.
- They work in combination with a full multipoint lock fitted on the main (active) door.
- The passive lock is secured via shootbolts that engage into the top and bottom frame, keeping the door leaf firmly closed.
Lock Operation: Lift Lever
To Lock the Door:
- Lift the handle to engage shootbolts or passive mechanisms.
- Turn the key to lock the system and, where applicable, engage the main deadbolt.
To Unlock the Door:
- Turn the key to release the lock.
- Push the handle down to disengage the shootbolts and retract the latch on the main door.
Latch Reversal: Not required. This ERA passive lock is non-handed and does not include a latch.
Compatible with a range of ERA accessories, including keeps, spindles, handles, and more. A perfect choice for those replacing or upgrading an ERA passive multipoint lock on timber or composite French doors.
