The GU Europa Vantage multipoint door lock is a high-performance locking system designed for uPVC and aluminium doors. This version features 4 compression rollers, 2 security hooks, 1 central deadbolt, and a latch, offering superior door alignment, weather sealing, and enhanced security.

Expandable Security Configuration

What sets this lock apart is its ability to add an extra pair of hooks, allowing you to upgrade to a 4-hook, 4-roller configuration. These positions are marked on the technical diagram. If your existing door lock includes these additional hooks, they can usually be removed and reinstalled onto the new lock.

About the GU Secury Europa Range

GU’s multipoint lock systems are branded under the "Secury" range. The "Europa" series includes both lift lever and split spindle nightlatch options. While most modern models are labelled "GU", older locks may still be referred to as "Ferco" or "GU Ferco". At Duffells, we classify 92mm PZ locks as GU and reserve the Ferco name for legacy 70mm PZ systems.

How to Identify a GU Lock

Most GU locks are easy to identify by the GU logo stamped onto the faceplate. If you're working with an older door, you may encounter the older GU lock version with a top corner cut-out on the gearbox. Newer GU gearboxes have a vertical groove instead and are not interchangeable with the old style.

Installation and Replacement Tips

While most locking points align between old and new models, minor adjustments to your door’s keeps or strike plates may be necessary. Older GU deadbolts were thinner, so replacing them with modern thicker deadbolts may require updating your keeps for proper function.
