ERA multipoint locks are widely used across the UK and are often rebranded by door manufacturers. You may find these locks marked under various brand names such as Surelock, Saracen, Spartan, Duraflex, Supa, Westward, or Cego.

How to Identify ERA Multipoint Locks

• Look for a grey snib on deadbolt and hook versions or a blue snib on Vectis models.
• Some rebranded models may use a black or green snib.
• Gearbox has a distinctive square shape with no corner cut-outs, measuring 221mm in length.
• Latch height: 24mm with 2 visible screws.
• Deadbolt height: 30mm.
• Distance between latch and deadbolt: 61mm.
• Gearbox screw spacing: 37mm / 85mm / 43mm.

If unsure, remove the lock from the door to check for hidden branding or dimensions.

Installation Note

ERA multipoint locks are often interchangeable. For example, you can swap a deadbolt version with a hook variant, excluding specific models like SureFire or Fortress Invincible, which have different mechanics.

Locking Instructions

To Lock:

1. Lift the handle to engage hooks and deadbolt.
2. Turn the key to fully lock the system.

To Unlock:

1. Use the key to release the locking points.
2. Push down the handle to retract the latch and open the door.
